The Dr. Ioanna GidarakouDDS, PhD, graduated first in her class from the School of Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She completed her postgraduate specialty training in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Center, University of Rochester (New York, USA)where she also earned a Diploma in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ) and completed a one-year postgraduate program in Pediatric Genetics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

She received her PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where her doctoral research focused on the treatment of skeletal Class II malocclusion in growing patients..

Dr. Gidarakou has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students for several years and has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific meetings and educational programs in Greece and abroad. Her academic work includes publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international orthodontic congresses.

In recent years, her professional and scientific interests have focused on digital orthodontics and clear aligner therapy.She serves as an international lecturer and educator, participating in scientific meetings and continuing education programs worldwide. Through her educational activities, she actively contributes to the advancement of contemporary orthodontic practice and the dissemination of digital workflows and clear aligner treatment protocols.
